We were both able to make it out to moose for the trail day - still a bit of snow but it's melting fast.

The rack we have now is a "Transfo-Rakzs" 5 bike rack that nicely carries 4 bikes. I don't think this company exist now. Swagman is the dominant player and buys out the smaller competitors. The manufacturers seem to set up to carry the bikes 6" apart. THis is too tight with suspension forks. We adjusted our mounts to 7-1/2" apart and used the spare one in the shop for a work stand.

We have it on a 1-1/4" hitch so we make sure to use the webs strap to the front of the trunk lid to take some of the load.

MEC carries the Swagman Xp series. A similar mount. But you really need to check out if your frame will fit - that's really the only problem we've found with the rack. Some of the newer DH bikes have frames that are too wide or thick to fit in the clamp. Hope this helps you out...
